✅ Polish Sausage, Sauerkraut, and Potatoes (Crock Pot Recipe)
🔹 Ingredients:
◾️ 2 cans (14 oz each) sauerkraut, undrained (or 1 bag, 2 lbs)
◾️ 5–6 potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks
◾️ 1 cup water
◾️ 1 lb Polish sausage (or smoked sausage), cut into chunks
◾️ 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
◾️ 1 bay leaf
◾️ 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
🔹 Instructions:
1. 👉 Place sauerkraut and potatoes into the crock pot.
2. 👉 Add caraway seeds, bay leaf, pepper, and water.
3. 👉 Place sausage chunks on top.
4. 👉 Cover and cook:
✅ On HIGH for 4 hours
✅ Or on LOW for 6 hours
5. 👉 Cook until potatoes are tender.
▶️ Makes 6–8 servings.
💡 4 Cooking Tips:
1. 🔹 For extra flavor, brown the sausage in a skillet before adding it to the crock pot.
2. 🔹 If you like a milder dish, rinse the sauerkraut before cooking to reduce tanginess.
