Slow Cooker Cheesy Hamburger Potato Hash
👉What You’ll Need:
🔹️1½ lbs ground beef
🔹️1 small onion, finely chopped
🔹️4 cups diced potatoes (peeled if you prefer)
🔹️1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
🔹️½ cup milk
🔹️1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
🔹️1 tsp garlic powder
🔹️1 tsp paprika
🔹️Salt & pepper, to taste
🔹️Optional: 1 cup frozen mixed veggies or corn
👉How to Make It:
✅️1. Cook the Beef & Onion:
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until cooked through. Drain any grease.
✅️2. Get the Slow Cooker Ready:
Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker.
✅️3. Mix It All Together:
Add the diced potatoes, cooked beef and onion, mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the crockpot. Stir well to combine.
✅️4. Let It Cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours—until the potatoes are nice and tender.
✅️5. Finishing Touch:
About 15 minutes before serving, stir in the cheddar cheese and optional veggies. Let it melt and heat through.
👉3 Tips for Best Results:
▶️1. Cut potatoes evenly to ensure they cook at the same rate and don’t end up mushy or underdone.
▶️2. Use sharp cheddar for a richer flavor that stands out after slow cooking.
▶️3. Add veggies near the end to keep them from turning too soft or losing color.
