Supreme Pork Chops with Garlic Cream Sauce

Creamy Herb Pork Chops (Supreme Pork Chops)

👉Ingredients:

↪️4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1 inch thick)

↪️Salt and black pepper (to season)

↪️2 tablespoons olive oil

↪️1 medium onion, finely chopped

↪️2 garlic cloves, minced

↪️1 cup chicken broth (for depth of flavor)

↪️1/2 cup heavy cream (adds richness)

↪️1/2 cup sour cream (adds tanginess and creaminess)

↪️1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (for a subtle kick and extra flavor)

↪️1 teaspoon dried thyme (earthy herb flavor)

↪️1 teaspoon dried rosemary (adds a woodsy, fragrant taste)

↪️Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish and freshness)

👉Instructions:

✅️1. Season the Pork Chops: Sprinkle both sides of each pork chop generously with salt and pepper. This helps to build flavor right from the start.

✅️2. Sear the Pork Chops: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the pork chops in the pan and cook them for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely browned. This step locks in juices and gives the meat a golden crust. Remove the chops and set them aside on a plate.

✅️3. Sauté Onion and Garlic: In the same skillet (don’t clean it—you want those browned bits for flavor), add the chopped onion and cook for about 2–3 minutes until softened. Then stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

✅️4. Build the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and gently scrape the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon to loosen any stuck bits. These add rich, savory flavor. Let it simmer for a minute, then stir in the heavy cream, sour cream, Dijon mustard, thyme, and rosemary. Mix well and let it cook for 2–3 minutes so the sauce slightly thickens.

✅️5. Return the Pork Chops to the Pan: Place the pork chops back into the skillet. Spoon some of the sauce over the top. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the pork chops simmer gently for 10–15 minutes. They should be fully cooked and tender. To be sure, check that the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C).

✅️6. Serve and Garnish: Transfer the pork chops to a serving plate and spoon the creamy herb sauce over them. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for color and a hint of freshness.

◾️Serving Suggestions: These pork chops go perfectly with mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, steamed rice, or even roasted vegetables. The creamy sauce ties everything together beautifully.

◾️Optional Tip: For extra depth, you can deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine before adding the broth.

🔹️Enjoy your creamy, flavorful pork chops!
