👉Ingredients:
◾️8 oz (225g) lo mein noodles (or substitute with spaghetti or similar noodles)
◾️1 tablespoon sesame oil
◾️1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
◾️2 cups fresh broccoli florets
◾️2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
◾️1 tablespoon oyster sauce
◾️1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
◾️1 teaspoon cornstarch
◾️1/4 cup water
◾️1 tablespoon vegetable oil
◾️3 garlic cloves, minced
◾️1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
◾️2 green onions, sliced
◾️Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
◾️Salt and black pepper, to taste
👉Instructions:
✅️1. Cook the Noodles:
◾️Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the lo mein noodles and cook according to the package instructions.
◾️Drain the noodles well, toss them with the sesame oil to prevent sticking, and set aside.
✅️2. Make the Sauce:
◾️In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and water.
◾️Mix until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and the sauce is smooth. Set this aside.
✅️3. Cook the Beef:
◾️Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
◾️Add the thinly sliced beef and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes, or until the meat is browned and cooked through.
◾️Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
✅️4. Cook the Vegetables:
◾️In the same pan, add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and broccoli florets.
◾️Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes, until the broccoli is bright green and slightly tender, but still crisp.
✅️5. Combine Everything:
◾️Return the cooked beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir everything well so the meat and vegetables are coated.
◾️Add the cooked noodles and toss everything together to let the sauce cover all ingredients evenly.
✅️6. Serve:
◾️Top with sliced green onions and a pinch of red pepper flakes if you like some heat.
◾️Serve hot and enjoy!
