Beef Stew in the Crockpot – A Comfort Classic
👉Ingredients:
↪️2 lbs beef stew meat
↪️¼ cup all-purpose flour
↪️½ tsp salt
↪️½ tsp black pepper
↪️2 cups beef broth
↪️1 bag baby carrots
↪️5 medium potatoes, diced
↪️1 medium onion, chopped
↪️1 stalk celery, chopped (or 1 tsp celery seed/powder)
↪️2 tsp Worcestershire or steak sauce
↪️1 tsp paprika
↪️½ tsp garlic powder
↪️½ tsp Italian seasoning
👉Instructions:
✅️1. Place the stew meat in the crockpot.
✅️2. In a small bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle it over the meat and toss until the pieces are well coated.
✅️3. Add the broth, carrots, potatoes, onion, celery, sauce, and all the seasonings. Stir everything to combine.
✅️4. Cover and cook:
◾️On low for 8 to 12 hours
◾️Or on high for 4 to 6 hours
◾️Until the beef is tender and the vegetables are soft.
✅️5. Optional: Add mushrooms near the end of cooking if desired.
